Life Lately

Chris sent me this picture yesterday while I was at work, and I think it captures life perfectly right now...we're all trying to soak in the sun to make it to Spring. It feels like it has been a long winter, and we still have a number of weeks to go.

Here are some of the things that have been keeping us sane:

1. Netflix- we've watched a number of movies, and just finished season one of Homeland
2. The Library- I love looking up the top reviewed books in blogs and on Amazon and then renting them from the library. Having a due date to return the book motivates me to actually make the time to read. I just finished The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty; it was excellent.
3. Yoga and Gym Trips- I love exercising outside, but sometimes it's just too cold, so a trip to the gym or a yoga class always make me feel better.

What I'm Reading

I'm currently reading two books at once. This is uncommon for me, I typically like to focus, but my friend has loaned me a book that I just had to start right away. Both of these books are fantastic, and I'd recommend them to anyone considering a bit of change to their daily routine:)

This book is great for anyone who has a dream of doing something on their own one day, and after reading the book you'll learn the one day/someday doesn't have to be so far away!

I wanted to read this book after I heard Sherry talked about it on Young House Love. It's basically a DIY for improving your own day to day happiness. I'm only on the third chapter, but it already inspired me to de-clutter this weekend. For some reason I do feel better that our linen closet and files are now organized!

Have you read any good books lately? Summer is definitely the time I love to take advantage of some sunny-day reading, so if you have any recommendations I'd love to hear them!

What I'm Reading

I was first introduced to this book and Ree's blog through Emma's Food Coma blog. I recently ordered this through Chapters, and was so excited when it arrived last Friday. I am about 3 chapters in so far, and I have a feeling it's going to be a great read. Ree first introduced retelling her personal love story on her blog when she had writers block one day, her readers loved it, so she's retelling her blog chapters as well as "the rest of the story" in this new book.

Can't beat a good cowboy country love story...and you have to love that it's true!

Have you found any good books lately?
